SAN ANTONIO - The University of the South men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 setback to Trinity University, Saturday afternoon from the Newman Tennis Center.
Trinity, who finished as a quarterfinalist at the 2021 NCAA Division III Championships, finished last season at No. 9 in the final ITA National Rankings. Sewanee finished 22nd.

Noah Holsclaw battled with the No. 2 team in the country in doubles, falling 8-2 to Christian Settles/Hao Nguyen.
-The Texas Tigers had four players ranked in the national singles top-50.
Quinn Wicklund went to a third set tiebreak with No. 40 Christian Settles. After falling in the first set, the freshman in Wicklund won the second set, 7-6 (5), to force the third set.
