BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The University of the South swimming and diving teams opened the 2022 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Swimming and Diving Championships as the Tigers saw a school record in the Women's 800 Freestyle Relay.

TOP FEMALE PERFORMERS
-In the 800 free relay, the quartet of
Mary Louise LeMieux,
Kate Mabry,
Anna Hawkins Dulaney and
Aurelia Willett set a new school record with a 7:50.30 to take third place. The team improved the record by 1.65 seconds, set in 2015.
-The Tiger team of
Aurelia Willett, Elodie Cardon-Cole,
Maddy DuBois and
Morgan Howat timed a 1:50.65 in the 200 medley relay.
TOP MALE PERFORMERS

George Mabry,
Daniel Shrader,
Wiley Reddick and
Anthony Carbone posted a 1:39.06 in the 200 free relay.
-Shrader, Reddick,
Christian Snead and
Max Peraza timed at 7:45.51 in the 800 free relay.
UP NEXT
Day two of the championships start up on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the prelims and 6 p.m. with the finals.
