HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee started the contest with five field goals credited with an assist, led by Russ Marr's two.

-Traling 17-14, at the 11:40 mark, Ben Folk's triple evened the score up, but a 7-0 run by the Scots pushed the lead to its highest of the night, 24-17, at the under-12 media timeout.

-Sewanee ends the 4-minute scoring drought at the 7:30 mark of the first half with a Colin Kahl layup. However, that did not phase the Scots, as the home team went on a 20-5 run in an eight-minute span prior to the under-four break.

-The teams would trade missed shots and turnovers for the final 3:29 of the half, with Maryville holding the 40-25 lead at the break.

-At the start of the second half, John Crump made it a 44-28 affair with his shot from downtown, but Myles Rasnick knocked down three straight shots to push the lead to its largest, 51-28, at the under-16 media.

-The Scots pulled away from the Tigers midway through the second half on a 13-1 run to lead, 70-43.

-Maryville, who is the preseason favorite in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) is receiving votes in the current Top-25 administered by D3hoops.com.
