CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The University of the South men's basketball team played NCAA Division II Lee University in an exhibition contest for both teams. The Flames, who were picked second in the Gulf South Conference's preseason poll, defeated the Tigers, 86-60, Saturday afternoon from Paul Dana Walker Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Lee got out to an early 7-0 lead before
Colin Kahl opened the Sewanee scoring with two free throws.
-Up seven, 30-23, with less than eight minutes left in the half, Lee went on a 15-6 run to push the lead to 16 at the final media timeout of the first half.
-Sewanee did stay competitive with Lee in the second half, as the Tigers outscored the Flames in the paint, 16-14, in the final 20 minutes.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-12 Tigers played in the exhibition contest on Saturday, led by senior
Colin Kahl with 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting, as he played 27 minutes.

Tre Corrigan knocked down three triples and a field goal for 11 points and added seven boards.

John Crump led the Tigers with six dimes and posted five points and two steals.
Eli Holland, off the bench, had four boards and two thefts.

-Makhi McGuire led the Flames with 18 points in 19:34 of time on the floor, while Jayce Willingham added 14.
