SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's basketball team defeated Warren Wilson College, 64-46, in the first win in the
Brody Curry C'17 era, Friday night from Juhan Gymnasium in the Sewanee Hoops Classic.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After Warren Wilson started the game with a fastbreak layup, Sewanee went to work, posting a 12-0 run to lead, 12-2 with three minutes remaining. Sewanee had a nine-point advantage, 16-7, after 10 minutes of play.
-Despite the struggles from both teams in the field in the second stanza, Sewanee posted a 12-4 frame to lead 28-11 at the break.
-Warren Wilson did cut the deficit to 13 points, 30-17, with 6:42 left in the third quarter, Sewanee essentially put the contest away with a 21-7 run to lead 51-24 after three periods.
WIN NUMBER 1 FOR CURRY
-After serving the last three seasons as an assistant with the men's basketball team,
Brody Curry C'17, who was named the head women's basketball coach in August, picked up his first collegiate win as a head coach on Friday.

Camryn Broussard recorded her first career double-double with a season-high 11 points and matched a career-high in boards with 10. The senior added two assists and blocks each.

Faith Humphrey missed out on a double-double with 10 boards adn nine points, while
Kayla Antoine posted 10 points.
WARREN WILSON KEY STATISTICS
-Moosie Lewis led the Owls with a game-high 17 points and collected 11 boards for the double-double. Carrigan Causby also grabbed 11 rebounds.
