Field Hockey Drops Game to Rhodes

Sewanee, Tenn: On Saturday, October 8th, the University of the South Field Hockey team took on Rhodes in an SAA match up. Rhodes used a fast start to win the game 5-0.

INSIDE THE MATCH UP: 
Rhodes ( 7-1, 2-0 SAA) 5, Sewanee (2-6, SAA 0-2 SAA) 0. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rhodes scored twice in the first 10 minutes of the game to build a quick 2-0 lead. 
- Rhodes scored the next two goals of the second quarter.
- Annie West registered the lone shot on goal for the Tigers, but was turned away by the Rhodes goalkeeper.
- Claire Damare registered a game high 20 saves. 

KEY SEWANEE STATISTICS:
- Damare registered a season high 20 saves.
- Annie West had the only Sewanee shots.  
- The Tigers drew two penalty corners.

KEY RHODES STATISTICS:
- Sophie Croci scored four goals and had one assist.
