HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee played its game in the opening set, posting a .209 attack percentage with three attack errors on 43 swings. Meanwhile, Millsaps was limited to a .065 percentage (11-8-46) and spent most of the set in the negative.

-In set number one, Sewanee won eight of the first 10 points, including six straight points. The momentum stayed with the Purple and White, as they had a 21-12 lead.

-Millsaps did come back and make it interesting, 23-17, but the Tigers won back-to-back points, with the clinching point coming off a Lydia Goffi ace.

-The Majors came out strong in the second set, out-killing the Tigers, 16-9, in the frame to win 25-19.

-In the third, tied at 14, Sewanee went on an 11-2 run to finish the set with a 25-16 victory.

-The story came in the fourth set. Sewanee trailed 21-13 and used an 8-1 run to cut the deficit to one, 22-21. Despite an Alyssa Jolly kill to get Millsaps back to a two-point lead, Sewanee tied it up on a Laurel Burkhardt kill and a Millsaps attack error.

-The teams would eventually go into "lingering death", with each team tied at 24 points. Millsaps had four different opportunities to send the match to a fifth set, but back-to-back attack errors by the Majors gave the Tigers the victory in four, 30-28.
