SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's basketball team suffered a 72-58 setback to the Lynx of Rhodes College in a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) contest Friday night inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Rhodes sprinted out to a 20-5 lead with 2:40 left in the opening quarter before Sewanee was forced to burn a timeout.
-Despite the slow start, Sewanee was able to go toe-to-toe with the visitors, outscoring the Lynx, 35-33, in the second and third quarters.
-Rhodes is receiving votes in the latest Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll.

Keisha Phillips each recorded 13 points to lead the Purple and White. Treanton contributed three thefts, while Phillips corralled six boards.

Abby Young posted nine boards.

-Catherine Althoff posted 8-of-15 from the floor in 28 bench minutes and totaled 24 points.
-Alli Mayeux continued her season average on points and rebounds, as she dropped a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
