NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The University of the South women's soccer team were tested by a top-five opponent in Christopher Newport University, as the Captains posted the 3-1 victory over the Tigers, Thursday afternoon from the CNU Soccer Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Riley Cook got the scoring going for the Captains with two first half goals in the 15th and 32nd minutes.
-Sewanee was able to get one back in the final minutes of the first half, as
Bea Richardson found
Kiera Giacomini's corner kick for her third goal of the season.
-CNU would add a third goal in the 65th minute to seal the match.
-The Captains were ranked fourth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division III Poll and second in the D3soccer.com poll.

Maggie O'Hare broke the CNU defense and tallied a shot.
