HOW IT HAPPENED
-In doubles play, the key matchup came at the No. 2 flight. Nicole Nowak and Natalia Nassar went into a tie break with Laurel Wanger/Katherine Johnston. The Sewanee duo would prevail with an 8-7 win to improve to 3-0 on the year.
-In singles, the Tigers secured the match with wins at the No. 1, 2, 3, and 5 flights. Caroline Adams rolled past Sophia Huynh for her fifth straight win and 8-1 on the year.
-Catherine Owen secured her fourth straight win as she rallied down a set to win 4-6, 6-1, 10-1 over Divya Sharma. The senior in Owen is 7-2 on the year.
-Emma Smith, ranked sixth in the Atlantic South Region, won 6-4, 6-1 over Ally Persky, fifth in the Central Region, at the No. 1 position. Smith, a sophomore, is 7-1 overall and 5-1 at the No. 1.
-Nassar won her fourth straight with a 6-3, 6-2 win at the No. 2 position to improve to 6-3 on the year.
