Men’s Tennis Downs Colonels, 8-1

SEWANEE, Tenn. - The No. 21 University of the South men's tennis team returned to the win column on Saturday with an 8-1 rout of Centre College, Saturday morning from the Charlotte Guerry Indoor Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Sewanee was able to win two of three doubles sets to have the early advantage in the match. Matt Barnett/Jack Metzger and Liam Baer/Ryan Wax secured wins at the No. 2 and 3 flights, respectively.

-In singles, it was a clean sweep for the Purple and White, with all six points winning in straight sets. Metzger, Noah Holsclaw and Jackson Davis secured a 6-0 shutout in the respective set.

-Ryan Olps picked up his fifth win of the season with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Faraz Ghamgosar at the No. 3 point.
