SAA Release
ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association released on Wednesday that goalkeeper JP Furman has been tabbed the SAA Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in Sewanee's 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Bryan College on March 6.
In full time, the sophomore stopped four shots. In the first half, he secured a safe off a penalty kick. Two of his saves came in the second half, with the Lions' last on-target goal coming in the 69th minute.
Furman and the rest of the Tigers return to the pitch for a match under the lights versus Oglethorpe. Kickoff is slated for Saturday at 6 p.m. from Puett Field.
