SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South football concluded the 2021 season on Saturday from historic Hardee-McGee Field at Harris Stadium with a 56-10 defeat to the Hendrix College Warriors.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Hendrix was able to score on its first possession of the game and led 14-0 after one quarter of play as Colton Phillips had touchdown receptions of 13 and 31 yards.Â
-Early in the second quarter, a fumble by Hendrix with the runner in motion gave
Quinn Johnson the opportunity to pick it up and run it back 33 yards to the visitor 21-yard line.Â
-The Purple and White were able to get points on the board after the fumble, thanks to
Jack Satterfield's 38 yard field goal.Â
-However, the Warriors rallied to score two more touchdowns to lead 28-3 at the break. In the third, the visitors broke the contest wide open with a 49-3 after 45 minutes of play.Â
-The Tigers tacked on a fourth quarter score as
Grayson Baker posted a 50-yard touchdown reception from
Cade Golden.Â
