SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South volleyball program hosted No. 13 Emory, and the Eagles took the straight-set victory, Saturday afternoon inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Playing Emory at home for the first time since 1997, the visitors posted a 25-17 set victory thanks to a .250 attack percentage and 14 kills. The Eagles defense held the Tigers to five kills in the frame.
-Sewanee would challenge Emory in the next two sets, but it would be the Eagle who secure the sweep, 25-21 and 25-22, in the second and third sets.
-Emory is ranked 13th in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association poll.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Ellie Pedersen recorded eight kills on 16 attacks and a .500 swing percentage. Posting four block assists, the Nashville native totaled 10 points on the day.

Lilly Reilly led the Tigers with 14 digs, while
Adele Cassidy added 13.
EMORY KEY STATISTICS
-Tara Martin led all attackers with 11 kills and added 2.5 blocks for 13.5 points.
-Lauren Bandera dug out 18 attacks.
