SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South women's soccer advanced to the semifinals of the 2021 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Women's Soccer Tournament with a 2-1 come-from-behind victory of Hendrix College, Saturday afternoon from a rainy Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Hendrix started the scoring early as Brianna Willis found Camy McKenzie's pass in the 12th minute for the early goal.
-Almost 10 minutes later, Sewanee responded with a
Bea Richardson goal from
Kiera Giacomini off a corner kick to even the game at one goal apiece.
-
Gabby Elve netted the eventual game-winner in the 45th minute that gave the Tigers the lead for good.
-Sewanee kept Hendrix in check in the second half, as the Warriors took two shots and none on goal.

Sewanee will next face the top-seed Centre in Danville, Ky. on Friday for a spot in the conference tournament championship match. The Colonels downed the Petrels of Oglethorpe, 2-0, in their quarterfinal match on Saturday.
