JACKSON, Miss. - The University of the South football team saw a 42-32 decision go the way of Millsaps College, Saturday afternoon from Harper Davis Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Millsaps tacked on the first two scores of the game to lead 14-0 after one quarter of play. As the game shifted to the second period, Sewanee completed a nine-play, 48-yard drive with a one-yard score by
Michael McGhee.
-The Majors added two more touchdowns after that to lead 28-6 at intermission.
-However, the Sewanee offense strung together four straight touchdowns on its first four drives. On the Tigers' first drive of the half,
Tucker Kirk rushed for a six-yard touchdown. After a Millsaps three-and-out,
Smith Cochran ran the first play from scrimmage 75 yards for six points as Sewanee trailed 28-18 with 6:36 left in the period.
-After the Tigers cut the deficit to 10, the Majors answered with a 74-yard drive capped by a three-yard touchdown run by Brody Davis to post a 35-18 lead after three quarters.
-Moving into the fourth quarter, Sewanee had a 14-play, 64-yard drive to cut the deficit back to a two-score affair. McGhee ran for a one-yard touchdown.
-The Tiger defense was able to make the stop on their next drive, and with 8:03 left in regulation, Sewanee was able to get a quick score thanks to McGhee's third touchdown of the game, a 51-yard rush, as the Purple and White trailed by three points, 35-32.
-The Majors would put the dagger in the Tigers' hearts on their next drive. They would march down the field, chewing 3:44 off the clock, and push the lead back to 10 points, 42-32, thanks to a touchdown rush by Davis.
-Sewanee had two more chances to start a rally, but they would come up short.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS

Michael McGhee set a new career-best in rushing yards, totaling 149 on the ground on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns.

Smith Cochran also had a season-high on the ground with 92 yards on a score on four carries, and
Tucker Kirk had 81 yards rushing on 13 carries. As a team, the Tigers rushed for 400 yards on the ground.

Keegan Glaze posted 15 stops on the day to lead the Sewanee defense.
MILLSAPS KEY STATISTICS
-Brody Davis threw for 320 yards on 19-of-32 passing and two touchdowns.
-Cade Broussard tallied 10 tackles and a pass breakup.
