HOW IT HAPPENED
-Millsaps tacked on the first two scores of the game to lead 14-0 after one quarter of play. As the game shifted to the second period, Sewanee completed a nine-play, 48-yard drive with a one-yard score by Michael McGhee

-The Majors added two more touchdowns after that to lead 28-6 at intermission.

-However, the Sewanee offense strung together four straight touchdowns on its first four drives. On the Tigers' first drive of the half, Tucker Kirk rushed for a six-yard touchdown. After a Millsaps three-and-out, Smith Cochran ran the first play from scrimmage 75 yards for six points as Sewanee trailed 28-18 with 6:36 left in the period.

-After the Tigers cut the deficit to 10, the Majors answered with a 74-yard drive capped by a three-yard touchdown run by Brody Davis to post a 35-18 lead after three quarters.

-Moving into the fourth quarter, Sewanee had a 14-play, 64-yard drive to cut the deficit back to a two-score affair. McGhee ran for a one-yard touchdown.

-The Tiger defense was able to make the stop on their next drive, and with 8:03 left in regulation, Sewanee was able to get a quick score thanks to McGhee's third touchdown of the game, a 51-yard rush, as the Purple and White trailed by three points, 35-32.

-The Majors would put the dagger in the Tigers' hearts on their next drive. They would march down the field, chewing 3:44 off the clock, and push the lead back to 10 points, 42-32, thanks to a touchdown rush by Davis.

-Sewanee had two more chances to start a rally, but they would come up short.
