SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South men's soccer team enters the 2021 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Soccer Tournament as the 7-seed, and they will head to the Bluff City to take on Rhodes College, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

WE MEET AGAIN: The Tigers and Lynx will meet in the SAA Tournament for the first time since 2015's semifinal match in Jackson, Miss. After knocking out the top-seed in the quarterfinals on penalty kicks, Sewanee downed Rhodes, 1-0, to finish as a finalist at the tournament.
STRIKING SEVE: Severin Velasco is taking care of business for the Sewanee offense in 2021, whether he is passing the ball or scoring on his own. The senior is fifth in the league in points (15) and tied for seventh with four assists.
JP ON THE STOP: Junior
JP Furman currently holds third place in the SAA in saves (52) and goals allowed (19). The Mandeville, La. native has made six saves in a contest four times this season.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT: If the Tigers maul the Lynx on Saturday, the Purple and White will advance to the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 5 against the winner of Centre/Hendrix, who play at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The championship will be held on Sunday, Nov. 7. The semifinal and championship matches will take place at the highest remaining seed.
