Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee women's soccer team opened the home schedule with a 1-1 draw to the Lady Scots of Covenant College on Wednesday night at Puett Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After holding the Lady Scots to no shots in the first 30 minutes of play, Kyra Duble found the pass from Paige Simons to give the visitors the early lead.
-Each team attempted two shots in the first half, but Sewanee had two shots on goal in the seventh minute and the 42nd minute.
-In the second half, the Tigers had ample opportunities to net the equalizing goal. In the 83rd minute, the pass from Olivia Rhodes found the foot of Addie Roemerhauser and scored from 15 yards out.
-In the first extra period, Sewanee took four of the six shots, but could not finish the contest.
-Each team took two shots in the second extra period, as the Tigers out-shot the visitors, 14-10.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Addie Roemershauser led the offense with five shots, three on goal, and scoring the lone strike.
-Mena Kerrison, Madison Stevens and Olivia Rhodes each attempted two shots.
COVENANT KEY STATISTICS
-Lizzy Hightower and Kailey Burrell each had three shots, but it was Burrell who scored the goal for the Scots.
