Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team extended its winning streak to nine with a 3-0 sweep over the Mississippi University for Women Wednesday night at Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers dominated the opening set after the teams traded the first four points. Sewanee went on a 23-4 run the rest of the set as the Tigers did not commit an error and recorded an attack percentage of .600 with 12 kills.
-On the defensive side, the Owls were allowed just one kill in the opening set and committed six errors.
-The Tigers recorded the second set win. Tied 9-9, the Tigers went on a 9-0 en route to a 25-13 set victory.
-The third set saw the Tigers post a .231 attack percentage with nine kills and a 25-18 set victory.
-The match saw the Tigers finish with an attack percentage of .300 or better for the third time with a .315 percentage Wednesday (33-10-73).
VOLLEYBALL HISTORY
The Tigers match their second-best start through 10 matches since 1991. The 2013 and 1999 Tigers also started 9-1. The nine-match winning streak also matches the second-longest in the program's history. The school record is 11 back in 1991.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Destiny Stewart recorded eight kills on 10 total attacks for the match to lead the Tigers.
-Rebecca Rowan posted seven kills on eight attacks and also recorded a solo block.
-Olivia Nichols added six digs, while Constance Connolly assisted on 26 kills with three service aces.
MUW KEY STATISTICS
-Tori Weir and Hannah O'Barr recorded three kills each.
-Mary Grace Prine added 10 digs and six assists.
