Box Score SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men's basketball team wrapped up the Lon Varnell Classic on Saturday with a 64-55 victory over Brevard inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Tigers led from the opening tip, and the team got out to as high as a 15-point lead in the win.
-Sewanee got out to a 14-4 lead in the first 9:30 of the half and took a 27-17 lead into the locker room.
-The Tornados made it as close as a six-point game in the second half thanks to a 57.7 performance (15-of-26) from the field and outscored Sewanee, 38-37, but it was the home team who earned the team's fourth straight win.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Hunter Buescher scored 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe and added three steals.
-Luke Smith scored 18 points, grabbed six boards and dished out four dimes.
-Cam Caldwell recorded his first double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
BREVARD KEY STATISTICS
-Levi Lamb scored 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting to lead the Tornados.
