Women's Soccer Nets Season High Four Goals in 4-1 Win over Agnes Scott

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Three different Tigers scored on Saturday afternoon at Puett Field, as the Tigers defeated the Agnes Scott Scotties, 4-1.

Sewanee would score right out of the gate off a corner kick, Dayla LaRocque netted her first goal of the season in the second minute.

The Purple and Gold (2-3-1) found the net again in the 18th minute, as Walker Poe, who netted the game winner against Covenant on Wednesday, netted her second goal of the 2017 season off a LaRocque assist.

Agnes Scott (0-5-1) broke the shutout late in the first half with a 41st minute goal from Jasmine Young to make the score, 2-1, headed into halftime.

Elizabeth "Clay" McKnight netted two goals in the second half, one in the 63rd minute off a Mary "Sissy" Frank assist and the other in the 83rd minute.

Overall, the Tigers took 12 shots, nine on goal, both season highs, and the Purple and Gold outshot the Scotties, 12-1.

Samantha Bourgeois (2-3-1) earned the win in goal.

The Tigers continue their homestand Sunday with the matchup against Hanover. Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
