SEWANEE, Tenn. - The 2017-18 season for the Sewanee women's swimming and diving team was a close one for the Tigers, but the Berry Vikings held off the late charge, defeating the Tigers, 133-109, Friday night at the Fowler Center Pool.
Meghan Mulhern won two events on Friday evening, taking the 200-yard freestyle with a 2:02.96 time and a 5:28.81 mark in the 500-yard free.
Noel Whitlock captured both one-meter dive wins finishing with 170.03 in the one-meter, six and 227.47 in the one-meter dive, 11.
In the 200-yard free relay, the team of Abby Rapuano, Ashley Krueger, Bailey Stevens and Olivia Baker won the event. Comprised of three freshmen, Rapuano, Stevens and Baker, the quartet finished 0.17 seconds ahead of Berry with a 1.45.80

The Tigers return to the pool on Oct. 27 when they host the Sewanee Invitational, which will run through Oct. 28.
