No. 8 Bowdoin survives tough match against No. 12 Sewanee

MALIBU, Calif. (March 14, 2015) – No. 8 ranked Bowdoin survived a number of long matches defeating the No. 12 ranked Sewanee women's tennis team, Monday, 7-2 on the campus of Pepperdine University.

After the Polar Bears swept all three doubles matches, Bowdon earned wins at No. 5 and No. 4 singles.

After losing the first set 6-1, Clementina Davila rallied back to take the second set 6-3 against Tiffany Cheng at No. 2. However, the Bowdoin senior answered back by winning the third set at 6-0.

Sewanee finally got on the board at No. 1 as senior Lindsey Liles topped No. 31 Joulia Likhanskaia 2-6, 7-5, 6-1.

After Bowdoin won again at No. 6, Christina Merchant defeated No. 38 ranked Tess Trinka at No.3, 7-5, 3-6, 11-9.
