Box Score DANVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 26, 2015) – Behind a strong offensive output, Southern Athletic Association (SAA) rival Centre defeated the Sewanee men's soccer team 2-0, Saturday night at Hillside Field.
In a match that was physical, the Colonels managed to score in both halves.
Centre first got on the board, as John Herd netted an unassisted goal in the 37th minute.
The Colonels final strike came in the 79th minute as Christian Gateskill scored another unassisted goal.
Overall, Centre held a 21-8 advantage in shots.
Matt Hawse led the Sewanee offense with three shots while keeper Will Merriman finished with five saves.
Sewanee returns to action with a 3:00 p.m. (EST) match at Berea, Sunday.
