No. 1 Emory hangs on for an 8-1 win over No. 12 Sewanee

ATLANTA (April 2, 2015) – The No. 1 ranked Emory women's tennis team slowly pulled away from No. 12 Sewanee for an 8-1 win, Thursday, at the Woodruff Physical Education Center.

Starting on the outside courts, the Tiger No. 3 doubles team of Annie Veron and Maggie Crumbliss topped Emory's Rebecca Siegler and Danielle Truitt, 8-5.

Unfortunately, Emory won the remaining two doubles matches and then swept all six singles contests after the match was moved inside due to weather.

The Tigers will now return to action on April 11 against Southern Athletic Association (SAA) foe Oglethorpe.
