Box Score DEMOREST, Ga. (Oct 4, 2015) – After a tough loss on Saturday, the Sewanee men's soccer team bounced back for a 2-0 win Sunday at Piedmont.
The Tigers played well with 15 shots, including six on goal, and five corners. On the opposite side of the pitch, Sewanee keeper Will Merriman had only one save due to the Tigers' ability to keep possession in the midfield.
Sewanee opened its scoring as Ramsey Seagle scored for the second time in two days. In the 29th minute, Seagle converted a rebound shot by teammate Richard Huber.
The Tigers added to their lead early in the second half as Luke Deimer headed in a great service pass from Ryan MacDonald in the 56th minute.
Overall, six Sewanee players had at least two shots.
The Tigers return to action with an 7:30 p.m. match against rival Rhodes, Friday.
