No. 15 Tigers defeat Biola and Whittier

WHITTIER, Calif. (March 17, 2014) – The No. 15 Sewanee women's tennis team earned a pair of victories to close out the weekend in California.

The Tigers defeated Biola by a score of 8-1 and then closed out Whittier, 7-2. 

During that stretch, Sewanee won all six doubles matches.

In singles, senior Bronte Goodhue had a pair of wins. Lindsey Liles then won at No. 2 singles twice while Kate Johnston did not drop a set in her two wins.

Additionally, Elske Parker won with scores of 6-2, 6-1 and 6-3, 6-0 while Annie Veron, Mary Taylor Tepper, and Connor Thomas also picked up victories.

The Tigers will now take a couple of days off before closing out their trip on the West Coast against Salisbury, Wednesday. That match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. (PST).
