LITTLE ROCK, Ark. --
Lindsay Wilburn (Hilton Head, S.C., Hilton Head Christian) picked up a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 three-set comeback win over Jackson from Trinity to secure a 5-3 upset win for Sewanee over Trinity at the SCAC Championships Saturday. The Tigers fell back 2-1 after doubles and then picked up singles wins in the 1-4 spots for the win. This is the first time Sewanee has beaten Trinity and the Texas Tigers are currently ranked 16th in the nation. Sewanee is ranked \#30.
Jenny Liles (Little Rock, Ark., Mount St. Mary) and
Michelle Flume (San Antonio, Tex., St. Mary's Hall) got Sewanee's doubles win, while Liles, Flume,
Julia Wood (Tulsa, Okla., Union) and Wilburn picked up four wins for the Tigers in singles play. Sewanee will play \#1 seed DePauw in the championships on Sunday.
