CONWAY, Ark. -- The Sewanee women's tennis team played SCAC foe Hendrix in Conway on Saturday and shut out the host Warriors 9-0. Sewanee remained perfect after doubles when
Michelle Flume (San Antonio, Tex., St. Mary's Hall) and
Devin Tellatin (St. Louis, Mo., Ladue) held off the French/Jackson team from Hendrix for the narrow 9-8 pro set win. In singles,
Jenny Liles (Little Rock, Ark., Mount St. Mary) held off Stevens of Hendrix to get the 7-6 first set at \#1 singles and then closed her out with a 6-1 win in the second set. The rest of the Tigers cruised through singles and didn't lose a set.
Sewanee is 1-2 and will host Agnes Scott and Oglethorpe next Saturday. Veteran Sewanee coach
