NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Sewanee faced Trinity in a
showdown of nationally-ranked teams at the SCAC Women's
Tennis Championships and fell to Trinity in the semifinals 8-1. The
Tigers finish their season at 15-6.
Michelle Flume (San Antonio, Texas, St. Mary's Hall)
picked up Sewanee's only win at the number three singles spot
when Michelle Flume beat Jamison from Trinity 2-6, 6-2, 11-9 in a
comeback effort. Derry Roberson (San Ignacio, Belize, St.
Stephen's Episcopal) put up a fight at number five sngles,
but fell in the tiebreaker after splitting sets. Trinity will face
DePauw in the championship match tomorrow morning in North Little
Rock.
