Maryville Men's Soccer Beats Sewanee

MARYVILLE, Tenn. - The Sewanee men played at Maryville Saturday afternoon and fell tot he Scots of Maryville 2-0. The Scots scored both goals in the second period after a defensive, scoreless first.

Maryville outshot Sewanee 21-8 and took seven corner kicks compared to four for Sewanee. In goal, Freddie Delchamps (Helena, Ala., Indian Springs) had 15 saves on the day. Bryan Walker had one save for Maryville. Travis Bolton and Brian Beckham scored Maryville's goals. Matt Lightfoot (Germantown, Tenn., Germantown) took a pair of shots to lead Sewanee, but none found its mark.

Sewanee is now 7-4 and is still unbeaten in SCAC play at 3-0. The Tigers will play SCAC matches at Colorado College and Austin College in Colorado and Texas next weekend.
