GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern stopped Sewanee on Saturday night and finished the Tigers off 43-31 after leading Sewanee 15-9 at the half.
Rachel Miller (Monterey, Tenn., Monterey) and
Lauren Gulley (Winchester, Tenn., Franklin County) led Sewanee's effort with 10 points apiece. Natasha Azizi led Southwestern with 15 points. Sewanee shot 20% from the field, compared to 34% for Southwestern ad the Tigers hit 12% of their three-pointers. Southwesrern hit just 9% of its three-pointers.
Sewanee is now 2-14 and 0-8 in the SCAC. It will host Austin and Colorado Colleges this weekend. Southwestern is 5-13 and 1-7 in the league.
