The Sewanee men are 4-10 and are 2-4 in the SCAC. The Tigers are coming off of a big win over Hendrix last Sunday in which senior
Ben Pursell (Franklin, Tenn., BGA) logged 21 points and 19 rebounds. Fellow seniors
Kenton Coleman (Ridgetop, Tenn., Greenbrier) and
Bradley Pierson (Rome, Ga., Darlington) were also in double digits with 17 and 15 points. The Tigers will also face Southwestern tomorrow night.
The Trinity men are 14-1 and 6-0 in the league. They are coming off of wins against Birmingham-Southern and Rhodes last weekend and will also host Oglethorpe this weekend. Luke Caldarera leads the Trinity squad with a 19 point per game average in SCAC games.
The Sewanee women are 2-12 and still looking for their first league win.
Lauren Gulley (Winchester, Tenn., Franklin County),
Carla Smiley (Nashville, Tenn., Father Ryan) and newcomer
Dani Kabbes (Chesterfield, Mo., Villa Duchesne) are all averaging better than eight points per game to lead the Tiger scoring drive. Sewanee will play at Southwestern on Saturday night.
The Trinity women are 11-4 and 5-1 in the league and coming off of a loss against SCAC foe Rhodes on Sunday. Krista Prato Matthews leads the Tigers with a 17.1 point per game average and she is averaging almost 14 rebounds per game. Trinity will also host Oglethorpe this weekend.
