Felix Mann enters his 10th season with the University of the South tennis programs in 2024-25 and his seventh as head coach of the men's program.

In six seasons at the helm of the Tigers, Mann has compiled an 86-40 overall record, three SAA Coach of the Year honors and four SAA regular season and tournament championships. The program has four NCAA Championships appearances, reaching the second round 2019 and 2022 and the Round of 16 in 2023 and 2024 (2020 and 2021 seasons were altered by COVID-19 pandemic).

In total, 32 student-athletes have earned All-SAA honors and 76 have garnered SAA Academic Honor Roll accolades.
 
Jordan Theron won national championships in singles and doubles (with Quinn Wicklund) during the fall of 2023. The Tigers posted a 21-5 team record in Spring 2024, winning the SAA regular season and tournament titles. Theron garnered Player of the Year honors, Henry Hyden was voted Newcomer of the Year in the league and Mann earned Coach of the Year recognition.
 
Theron was named ITA Atlantic Region Player of the Year and Mann earned ITA Regional Coach of the Year accolades, as Sewanee defeated Washington and Lee in the first round of the NCAA Tournament before falling to Emory University in the Round of 16. The Tigers ended the season ranked 14th nationally. Theron and Wicklund finished as national runner-up in doubles at the NCAA Individual Championships. In the classroom, 15 players were named to the league's Academic Honor Roll. 

Sewanee registered an identical 21-5 mark during the 2023 spring campaign, claiming SAA regular season and tournament championships along the way. The Tigers defeated George Fox in the first round of the NCAA Championships before falling to host Washington University in the Round of 16, ending the year ranked ninth nationally.

Theron reached the second round in singles and Theron and Wicklund lost in the first round in doubles in the NCAA Individual Championships. In the classroom, 12 players were listed on the league's Academic Honor Roll.
 
The 2022 campaign ended with SAA regular season and tournament titles as well, with the Tigers posting a victory over Grinnell College in the first round of the NCAA Championships before losing in the second round to Denison University.
 
A record nine student-athletes were voted All-SAA, led by Newcomer of the Year Wicklund, and Mann was named SAA Coach of the Year. In the classroom, nine players were listed on the league's Academic Honor Roll. 

The team played a shortened season in 2021, posting a 5-9 overall record against a difficult schedule (nine ranked opponents). Ten student-athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll. Jordan Brewer was named the ITA's Regional and National Most Improved Senior during the 2020 season that ended abruptly due to COVID-19.
 
In Mann’s first season as head coach at Sewanee, the Tigers registered their third consecutive 20-win campaign, finishing 21-7 overall, including SAA regular season and tournament titles. Mann was voted SAA Coach of the Year while Andres Carro earned Player of the Year and Brandon Kali garnered Newcomer of the Year accolades and eight players were named to the Academic Honor Roll.
 
Jack Gray was also voted the SAA’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year among all teams and sports in the conference.

Mann spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Sewanee before being elevated to the head coaching position in August 2018 after John Shackelford was named the Director of Tennis for both the men's and women's squads. Mann was named ITA Atlantic South Men's Assistant Coach of the Year in 2017.

He has served as a member of the ITA Atlantic South men's ranking committee since 2018, including as the chairperson of the committee from 2022-25. He also was a member of the men's national ranking committee also 2022-25 and was a member of ITA Atlantic South awards committee 2019-23.
 
Mann served as head coach of the men’s and women’s tennis teams at Averett University in 2014 and 2015.

In his first season, he coached two men's players to USA South All-Conference honors in 2014. He also had men's players earn USA South Player of the Week and USA South Rookie of the Week recognition. Both the men and women's tennis teams were voted by their respective peers across the league as the 2014 USA South Conference Sportsmanship Award winners.

That improvement continued in 2015. Both the men and women's programs increased their win totals from the season before, and the women's program reached the five-win mark for the first time since 2011. For the second year in a row, two of his men's players earned USA South All-Conference honors, with two of his players garnering weekly conference recognition.

Prior to his time at Averett, Mann worked two seasons as the assistant coach at Rhodes College, helping the program to its highest conference finish ever, posting second-place showings in both seasons. In just two years as an assistant, Mann helped to lead the top doubles team to the finals of the regional tournament, where the duo was awarded a Top 15 national ranking and finished the year ranked inside the Top 25 nationally.

Mann had a successful collegiate playing career at Oglethorpe University. A four-time All-SCAC member, He earned Honorable Mention All-SCAC honors as a freshman and sophomore and First Team accolades as a junior and senior. Mann finished third for conference player of the year his junior and senior seasons.

In his junior season, Mann was ranked in the Top 15 regionally in singles and ended his career at Oglethorpe ranked 12th in singles and seventh in doubles (with Ross Beall) in the Atlantic South region. He was named to the Oglethorpe Athletic Hall of Fame and will be inducted during the spring of 2025.

A native of Herndon, Va., Mann earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Oglethorpe in 2011. He is married to the former Ashley Manning and the couple has one daughter, Mila Grace.
