Olsen named CSCAA Scholar All-American

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's Andrew Olsen was named a College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Second-Team Scholar All-American, the organization announced Wednesday afternoon.

To earn Second-Team Scholar All-America honors, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while also achieving an NCAA Division III "B" qualifying standard for the national championships or qualifying for a diving regional meet.

Olsen earned the recognition after an outstanding season in the pool, highlighted by winning the Southern Athletic Association championship in the 100-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 44.80, which also met the NCAA Division III "B" qualifying standard.

At the SAA Championships, Olsen also earned medals in the 100-yard backstroke, the 200-yard medley relay, and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
