SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's tennis team celebrated its senior, Lexi Barbee, as the Tigers defeated Piedmont on Saturday morning 7-0.

Mariella Congeni and Ivy Wilson picked up the first doubles match for the Tigers at No. 1, with a 6-1 win, and Lexi Barbee and Harper High secured the doubles point with a 6-2 win at No.3. Emma Foster and Lucy Lee secured the doubles sweep with a 7-5 win at No. 2.

In singles, Wilson didn't drop a game, with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3. Hanna Davis also secured a 6-0, 6-0 win at six, to get the Tigers within one point of the match. Lee clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 4 and Congeni collected a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1. At two, Harper High added a 6-2, 6-0 win, and Emma Foster secured the sweep with a 6-1, 6-0 win at five.

Sewanee will face No. 25-ranked Mary Washington on Sunday morning at 9 a.m.
