SEWANEE, Tenn. – Sewanee's women's tennis team swept Southwestern on Saturday morning to improve to 2-0 in SAA play.

The Tigers were dominant in doubles, dropping just four total games. Mariella Congeni and Ivy Wilson did not concede a game in a 6-0 victory over Katia Childs and Lilly Perkins at No. 1 doubles. Emma Foster and Lucy Lee followed with a 6-1 win at No. 2 to clinch the doubles point, while Harper High and Lexi Barbee completed the sweep with a 6-3 victory at No. 3, giving Sewanee a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

In singles play, Congeni continued her strong performance with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1. Hanna Davis added a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 6 to put Sewanee within one point of clinching the match. High secured the team win at No. 2, winning 6-3, 6-1.

Foster contributed a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5, while Wilson battled back after taking the first set 6-1, dropping the second 2-6, and winning the third in a tiebreak at No. 3. Lee rounded out the sweep at No. 4, winning in straight sets, 7-6, 7-5.

Sewanee will face No. 12 Trinity on Sunday morning with an 11 a.m. start.
