SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Tigers swept doubles and singles as they faced No. 30 ranked Grinnell in the Charlotte Guerry indoor courts on Friday morning.

Quinn Wicklund and Max Verellen were the first to finish with a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles. Andre-Remi Jakobi and Gil Weston secured the doubles point with a 6-3 win, and Jordan Theron and Talman Ramsey secured the doubles sweep with a 6-2 win at two doubles.

Theron took care of business with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 followed by Wicklund with a 6-3, 6-1 at three. Weston clinched the match for Sewanee with a 6-4, 7-5 win at two. Ramsey collected another 6-1, 6-3 win at four. William Lewis, won his first collegiate match, collecting a 6-0, 6-3 win at five, and Max Verellen secured a three-set win. Verellen dropped the first set, 3-6, but battled back to win the second in a tiebreaker, 11-9, and won the match in a super breaker, 10-6.

Sewanee will face No. 34, Southwestern on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Adams Tennis Center.
