Kearns earns Athlete of the Week honors

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Freshman Jonah Kearns made an impressive collegiate debut at the Moultrie Diving Invite, earning Southern Athletic Association Player of the Week honors as announced on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lexington, Ky. native posted three third-place finishes to lead the Tigers. Kearns recorded a 369.10 in the 11-dive 1-meter event, a 221.20 in the six-dive 1-meter competition, and a 214.20 on the 3-meter board. His top marks included a 46.80 on his final 3-meter dive and a 42.00 on an inward 1½ somersault pike from the 1-meter, helping Sewanee finish second overall on the men's side.
