Men's Swim and Dive drops dual meet against No. 2, Emory

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Sewanee men's swimming and diving team turned in a strong result against No. 2-ranked Emory on Saturday inside the Fowler Natatorium.

Sewanee picked up wins in the 400 freestyle relay, as Josh Kim, Carter Nabors, Henry Lindeman III, and Andrew Olsen combined for a winning time of 3:13.47, and Sewanee's B relay of Naeem Mangum, Eric Jurkovic, Tyler Foster, and Winston McKenzie placed second in 3:26.01. 

Andrew Olsen led the Tigers individually, capturing first in the 100 freestyle (46.90) and added second in the 100 backstroke (52.24). Ryder Griffin won the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.01, followed by Jon Brettschneider (2:07.50), Mason Horner (2:13.20), and Connor Young (2:14.14). 

In the breaststroke events, Mangum finished third in the 100 and 200, swimming a 1:00.23 in the 100 and 2:21.25 in the 200. Tyler Foster added a third-place result in the 200 backstroke (1:59.34). 

Jonah Kearns won the 3-meter with 272.10 points and took home third in the 1-meter with 259.43. 

Sewanee returns to the pool on October 31, traveling to Berry College for its first conference meet of the season.
