SEWANEE, Tenn. – Junior
Emma Grace Hendrickson placed fourth and sophomore
Sam Ude finished ninth, leading Sewanee women's cross country to a third-place team showing Saturday at the Mountainside Stride at the Arboretum Nature Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Hendrickson finished the 6K course in 24:28.0 while Ude came across the finish line in 24:53.5.

Elise Overlin was 12
th for the Tigers in 25:41.8, with sophomore
Clara Earley right behind in 14
th time with a time of 25:45.4. Freshman
Eleanor Graham placed 19
th in 26:34.4, junior
Lou Bullock Louis finished 21
st in 26:31.4 and senior Isabella Francois was 24
th in 26:52.8.
"I was very impressed with the women's results. Emma Grace and Sam led the ladies, showing patience the first kilometer and both were rewarded with a Top 10 finish," head coach Mike Curcio said. "They were followed closely by Elise and Clara, putting four in the Top 15."

Sewanee posted a team score of 58 for third place, just four points behind second-place and host Covenant. Dalton State won the meet with a team score of 24.
The Tigers run again October 13 at the UTC Invitational, the final meet before the conference championships.
