SAVANNAH, Ga. - The No. 17/19 University of the South men's golf team posted an eighth place finish at the Savannah Invitational, Monday and Tuesday from The Club at Savannah Harbor. The Tigers carded a 54-hole score of 911.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Pearse Lucas scored a top-20 finish with an 18th place score of 224 (74-71-79). The sophomore finished with eight birdies, averaged 3.08 strokes on par 3 scoring and 4.83 storkes on par 5 holes.

Ryan Demit (72-78-76) carded a 26th place score of 226 over the two-day, 54-hole tournament. The senior also chipped in eight birdies and averaged 4.83 on par 5s.

Grayson Maddox (72-76-81) totaled a 229, while
Langdon Aronson (78-76-81) posted a 235.

Grant Mahaffey (80-81-78) rounded out to the Sewanee scoring with a 239.
-Fred Roberts IV of Piedmont and Michael Burry of Emory earned co-medalist honors with a 212.
TEAM LEADERBOARD
-Sewanee opened the tournament with a 296 in the opening round on Monday, but slid to eighth after a 301 in the second round that afternoon.
-Tuesday, the Tigers recorded a 314 to finish with a 911.
-Emory edged Huntingdon by seven strokes to claim the team title.
UP NEXT
After a couple of days off, Sewanee will compete next at the Tiger Invite at Forest Creek on March 11-12 from Pinehurst, N.C.
