SEWANEE, Tenn. - For the 33rd straight time, the University of the South women's tennis team defeated Centre College. The 2023 meeting saw the Tigers roll past the Colonels, 8-1, Saturday from the Guerry Indoor Courts.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Winning all three doubles points, Natalia Nassar/Ansley Carpenter (3-0) picked up the 8-2 victory at the No. 1 flight. 

-Carpenter, (3-2) knocked off Ella Rueff at the No. 1 in singles, 6-0, 6-3, while Sarah Livingston (2-1) used a 6-3, 6-1 triumph of Lainey Hill at the No. 2. 

-Sewanee and Centre first met in women's tennis in 1992, according to acquired records. The Tigers are a perfect 33-0 against the Colonels all-time.
