ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced on Friday that men's golfer
Pearse Lucas was selected as the SAA Men's Golfer of the Week after his performance this past week at the Division III Showcase in French Lick, Ind.
The freshman won the weekly award for the third time this season, previously won on back-to-back occasions on March 10 and 24.
Lucas recorded his fourth top-five finish in eight tournaments this year with a fourth place score of 140 at the Division III Showcase, the top finish by any SAA player in the field.
In 19 rounds this season, the Charlotte, N.C. native has averaged 71.53 strokes per round, including four top-five finishes.
The Tigers will return to action this weekend at the Emory Invitational.
