SEWANEE, Tenn. - The No. 7 University of the South women's tennis team picked up two points over 2021 NCAA Division III National Champion in Emory University, but the fourth-ranked Eagles secured the 7-2 victory, Sunday afternoon from the Guerry Indoor Courts in a battle of the top-two teams in the Atlantic South region.

Ansley Carpenter picked up their 10th doubles win of the spring with an 8-4 win of Emma Cartledge and Stephanie Shulman at the No. 2. Now 12-1 on the year, the duo remains unbeaten so far this spring.

Alice Hall improved to 11-3 on the year and 8-2 at the No. 1 flight with an 8-7 (4) win.
