ATLANTA - The Southern Athletic Association (SAA) released on Thursday afternoon that University of the South men's golfer
Pearse Lucas has won the SAA Men's Golfer of the Week for a second straight week.
The freshman posted a three-round score of 208 at the Jekyll Island Collegiate to lead all SAA competitors, as five of the league's eight schools were represented.
Overall, Lucas finished in a three-way tie for second place, three strokes behind the leader in Alex Price of Christopher Newport.
In six rounds this spring, he has carded four sub-70 scores and is averaging 69.1 strokes per round.
According to the latest GolfStat rankings, the Charlotte, N.C. native is 14th in the individual rankings, and he is the second-highest freshman in the listings.
The Tigers return to the links on April 11-12 with the Division III Showcase from French Lick, Ind.
