No. 18 Men's Tennis Continues Spring Break Trip

MALIBU, Calif. / CLAREMONT, Calif. - The No. 18 University of the South men's tennis team fell in three matches to Amherst College and Bowdoin College by identical 8-1 scores and No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, 7-2, on Monday and Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED, AMHERST
-In doubles, freshmen duo Talman Ramsey and Gil Weston picked up their four doubles win of the season with an 8-7 (6) win at the No. 3.

-Amherst won all six singles matches to seal the contest. Quinn Wicklund went into two tiebreaks with No. 45 Sujit Chepuri at the No. 3 flight, 3-6, 7-6 (4), 7-6 (9).

HOW IT HAPPENED, BOWDOIN
-Ryan Olps, who has played his sixth match in the last seven against a ranked player, finally picked up a win against the Polar Bears. After falling to No. 17 Tristan Bradley in the first set, 6-2, the senior rallied to nearly blank his opponent in the next two sets, 6-0, 6-1.

-Talman Ramsey earned his eighth singles win of the 2022 campaign with a three-set win of Ethan Carroll at the No. 4 flight.
