GREENSBORO, N.C. - The No. 22/24 University of the South men's golf team wrapped up the fall schedule of the 2022-23 season with the O'Briant Jensen Memorial, hosted by Guilford College, from The Cardinal by Pete Dye, on Oct. 31-Nov. 1.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Pearse Lucas led the Tigers with a 36-hole score of 146 (74-72), soaring nine spots to place in 12th overall. The sophomore was sixth in the field in par 4 scoring (4.05) and his 26 pars were good for fourth-best.

Grant Mahaffey carded a 147 (74-73) for 17th place, while
Ryan Demit's 148 (72-76) was good for 20th overall. Demit also led the field in par 3 scoring, averaging 2.5 strokes per round.

Langdon Aronson (154) and
William Cooper (155) rounded out the Sewanee scoring.
Luke Morgan (157) competed as an individualist.
TEAM LEADERBOARD
-Sewanee posted team scores of 296 and 297 to earn seventh place in the tournament. 15 strokes separated third place from ninth.
-Christopher Newport (Va.) won the team championship with a 568 (285-283), passing Methodist (N.C.) by eight strokes.
UP NEXT
Sewanee's spring schedule will be released at a later date. The 2023 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Championships will take place Apr. 28-30 from GreyStone Golf Club in Dickson, Tenn.
