No. 12/16 Men's Golf Earns 15th Place with Strong Field at Golfweek Fall Invite

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. - The No. 12/16 University of the South men's golf team, after a rough start on the first 18 holes, came back to post two sub-300 scores at the Golfweek Fall Invitational, Oct. 16-18, from teh Raven Golf Club.

INDIVIDUAL RESULTS
-Ryan Demit led the Tigers for the second straight event with a 54-hole score of 220 (74-71-75) for 32nd place. Demit had 37 pars in the event and averaged a 4.83 on par 5s. 

-Pearse Lucas carded a 40th place overall with a 221 (72-73-76), while Grant Mahaffey scored a 227 (83-70-74). 

-Colin Edwards (230) used a final round of 72 to move up 25 spots on the leaderboard. Will Brookby (231) also ascended 14 spots on Tuesday's final round. 

-Michael Sullivan of Oglethorpe shot under-par in each of his three rounds to finish with a -6, 207, to win the individual tournament by three strokes. 

TEAM LEADERBOARD
-Sewanee finished with an 889 (307-287-295) over the 54-hole event. The Tigers were separated by 20 strokes between the top-five. 

-Emory (859) defeated Oglethorpe by five strokes and Huntingdon by seven to claim the team title. 

UP NEXT
The fall schedule concludes with the O'Briant Jensen Memorial, hosted by Guilford College. The tournament will take place on Oct. 31 through Nov. 1.
