SEWANEE, Tenn. - The University of the South cross country teams competed at the 2021 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Cross Country Championships, Saturday from The Course at Sewanee. On a rainy day from the Domain, The women's team took fourth place, while the men finished in sixth.

WOMEN SCORERS

Charlotte Ganter secured Second Team All-Conference honors for the first time in her career with a ninth place time of 24:55.53 in the 6K race.

McKenzie Bullock Louis set a new personal best with a 20th place score of 25:33.85, while
Merrit Newton placed in 27th with a 26:06.47.

Ashlyn Browne (26:32.07) and
Madison Sellers (26:36.06) also scored for Sewanee.

Janie Schmitt (26:52.14) and
Elise Overlin (26:59.33) rounded out the Sewanee scoring.
MEN SCORERS

Duke Richey led the Tigers with a career-best time of 28:02.30 time for 25th place overall.

Will Stacey improved his personal best run by over 50 seconds with a 28:58.06 mark for 39th place, while
Hastings Holt timed a 29:48.05 8K race.

Ian Boer (30:12.78),
Elijah Andrews (30:29.38),
Patrick Rodriguez (30:46.65) and
Noah Hodges (33:36.70) rounded out the Sewanee scoring.
